  • Through Jan. 12, the Island Branch Library, 5701 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, showcases the Eyeland Needlers 2008 quilt, which will be raffled during the Anna Maria Island Community Center’s Tour of Homes. Information: 941-778-4117.
  • Anna Maria resident Jay Canterbury is the featured artist this month at the Arts Council of Manatee County Gallery, 926 12th St. W., Bradenton. The exhibit showcases natural photographic abstracts. Information: 941-746-2223.
  • The Anna Maria Island Community Center, 407 Magnolia Ave., Anna Maria, offers a range of courses for adults and children Mondays through Saturdays, including cooking, dance, fitness and art classes.
