Bradenton Beach

July 22, 2300 block Avenue C, operation of license suspended. Officers responded to a suspended theft and stopped a man driving a vehicle and, upon a record check, it was learned his license had been suspended. He was arrested.

July 24, traffic. Officers stopped a man driving a vehicle without operating tail lights and, after a record check, it was revealed he had a suspended driver’s license and was classed as a habitual offender. He was arrested.

July 27, 402 Church Ave., Bradenton Beach Marina, battery. The complainant said her ex-boyfriend beat her up and left her for another woman. No charges were filed.

 

Holmes Beach

July 25, 6300 block Flotilla Drive, fraud. The complainant said someone made off with $4,000 from his bank account.

July 25, 400 block 75th Street, burglary. Flooring crews reported someone broke into a home where they were working, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

July 25, 200 block 72nd Street, theft. The complainant said she observed a man taking fishing rods and reels from her garage.

July 26, 3232 E. Bay Drive, Subway, theft. The store manager said someone took meat and cheese from the outside freezer and that it was suspected to be a former employee.

July 26, 600 block Emerald Lane, theft. The complainant said someone took his outboard motor, depth finder and fishing poles from his boat.

July 28, 100 block 72nd Street, domestic. Officers arrived on the scene of three men scuffling, two of them apparently attempting to hold another to the ground, according to the report. The argument apparently began over a girlfriend of one of the men. The man who was being restrained was arrested.

July 29, 500 block 58th Street, theft. The complainant said that $750 in orchids had been stolen.

July 30, 200 block 73rd Street, disturbance. Officers responded to a call of a disturbance among a female resident and two visiting male friends. The resident found that one of the two men had a new girlfriend and had asked him to leave. He said that she had his cell phone. She went outside the house to give him the phone, according to the report, then punched him in the face. He was issued a trespass warning and, upon a record search, it was revealed he had outstanding warrants from Manatee County. He was arrested.

July 31, 6700 block Gulf Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took a compressor and other tools from a locked trailer.

July 31, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, theft. The complainant said while he was swimming someone took his wallet, containing $200, credit cards, a driver’s license and other identification.

July 31, 200 block North Harbor Drive, missing person. Officers responded to a call from the caregiver of an adult male who had disappeared from their home. He apparently took a walk and was found on the east side of the Anna Maria Island Bridge and taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment.
