Story Tools • • Date of Issue: July 22, 2009 Obituaries Athene P. Healey Athene P. Healey, 91, of Bradenton, died July 11. Mrs. Healey was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She worked as a financial supervisor with AT&T, retiring after 40 years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Holmes Beach, and was a member of the women’s guild at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Bernard, 248 S. Harbor Drive. A private family burial will take place at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton. She is survived by her companion and caregiver Diane West; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and acquaintances.   Gerald A. ‘Jake’ Terrell Gerald A. “Jake” Terrell, of Holmes Beach and Mars Hill, Maine, died July 13. Born in Blaine, Maine, Mr. Terrell grew up on a small family farm. He served in World War II. He and his, wife Lois, bought a farm, grew potatoes and raised three daughters, all who helped on the family farm. He attended the East Ridge Union Church in Mars Hill. Other survivors include step-grandchildren Gene and Brian Richardson, Nicole Foster and husband Daniel, Jimmy Dickson and wife Krystin, and Karl Dickson; great-grandchildren Jack and Emily Hallett, Lydia and Bailey Terrell Alexander, and James and Robert Dickson; sisters Rowena Grass of Bridgewater and Norma McCrum and husband Bertram; and sister-in-law Marjorie.
