July 7, 100 block South Bay Boulevard, recovered vehicle. Deputies responded to a call of a tricycle in the bay and recovered the bike, located the owner, and returned it.
July 7, 100 block Gull Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took his fishing gear from his back yard overnight.
July 9, 700 block Jacaranda Road, theft. The complainant said someone took his bicycle from the side of his residence.
Bradenton Beach
July 4, 118 Bridge St., Sports Lounge, drugs. A witness approached officers and said a man in the bar had drugs. Officers approached the suspect, Justin Charles Weng, 25, of Bradenton, asked him to step outside of the lounge and, with his consent, searched him, finding marijuana and cocaine. He was charged with possession of illegal drugs.
Holmes Beach
July 6, 6101 Marina Drive, Island Real Estate, burglary. The complainant said that someone entered his work truck, which had been parked at the office overnight, and took extension cords and cut the wiring to his welder.
July 6, 500 block 68th Street, fraud. The complainant told officers he paid $4,050 for concrete work at his home, the check was cashed, but no work was done. The matter was referred to the state attorney’s office for disposition.
July 6, 3000 block Gulf Drive, disturbance. The complainant said that she and her roommate and her roommate’s son were leaving the residence when a man who she said she has an injunction against got out of a car across the street and began yelling obscenities. He then attacked her, according to the report, but was restrained and eventually left. The matter was forwarded to the state attorney’s office for disposition. |
