HBPD chief re-elected justice commission chair
Holmes Beach Police Chief Jay Romine recently was re-elected to chair the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
Romine was appointed to the commission in August 2002 by then Gov. Jeb Bush, who reappointed Romine to the commission in October 2006.
The commission sets training guidelines and handles disciplinary matters involving law enforcement, correctional and probation officers in the state.
