Islander Photo: Rick Catlin Mike Norman of Mike Norman Realty recently listed and marketed a Gulffront house on 75th Street in Holmes Beach that has been sold for $3.5 million, the most expensive Gulffront home sale in memory, he said. The sales agent was Barbara Sato or Sato Real Estate. Norman said the house was purchased for $3.5 million by a woman from England. The woman told Norman she saw the house advertised in The Islander and made the purchase. “It’s the largest selling price for a Gulffront home I’ve ever seen,” said Norman, who is a veteran of more than 30 years in the Island real estate market. “She was definitely helped by a good exchange rate,” he added, noting the woman got almost 2-for-1 dollars to pounds on the purchase. Just three years ago, the exchange rate was about $1.40 per English pound.
