10 a.m.-4 p.m. — De Soto National Memorial commemorates the 470th anniversary of the start of the Hernando de Soto expedition and to celebrate Junior Ranger Day in America’s National Parks. 1 to 4 p.m. — Cortez Village Native Potluck Picnic at the Maritime Museum, 4511 119th St. W., Cortez. Information: 941-795-7121.
