8:30 a.m. - Holmes Beach celebrates Founders Day with a dedication of the city’s skate park and other ceremonies in the 5800 block of Marina Drive. The program begins at city hall. Information: 941-708-5400.

9:30 a.m. - Church Women United meets for a discussion with Luz Corcuera of the Healthy Start Coalition of Manatee County at Roser Memorial Community Church, 512 Pine Ave., Anna Maria. Information: 941-778-6483.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - The Anna Maria Island Butterfly Park Arts and Crafts Festival benefiting the garden in Holmes Beach takes place at Coquina Beach Gulf side. Information: 352-344-0657.
