Anna Maria
March 29, 100 South Bay Blvd., injured person. An officer was dispatched to the Anna Maria City Pier boardwalk to attend to an injured woman. She was transported to Black Medical Center.
April 2, 200 block of Elm Avenue, theft. The subject took the victim’s bicycle from the front yard of their rental home and fled. An officer was dispatched to the area and did not find the suspect.
April 4, 221 Oak Ave., suspicious person. The subject stopped at the complainant’s home and offered to give the subject some free DVDs. The subject thinks the man was picking up scrap items from the streets.

Holmes Beach
March 26, 600 block of Manatee Avenue, vehicle burglary. An officer responded to Westbay Cove to assist a burglary arrest, in which the suspect had already been positively identified by the victim. The complainant was woken by the sound of someone getting into a vehicle and later saw someone in the front seat of his vehicle. The complainant had his wife call HBPD and went to the parking lot. The suspect exited the vehicle and the complainant followed. The officer arrived and the complainant identified the man, who had stolen some $1 bills from the vehicle. He also admitted to stealing change from two other cars at Westbay. The defendant was transported to the Manatee County jail.
March 27, 200 block of 72nd Street, domestic battery. An officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. The suspect had left prior to the officer’s arrival. The officer met with two victims. The victims said they were very intoxicated. One victim said she and her boyfriend had been in an argument over truck keys, and he pushed her to the ground. The other victim said she later was pushed by the suspect. The officer filed a request for two counts of domestic battery.
March 28, 5900 Marina Drive, dog incident. A woman went to HBPD to report that she was at the ballfield with her dog when another dog jumped on her and bit her on her left arm. The officer responded to the park and had the owner quarantine the dog for 10 days.
March 29, 3902 Gulf Drive, lost property. A man came to the HBPD to report a lost wallet that he said contained about $950.
March 30, 3700 block of Gulf Drive, theft. An officer was dispatched to the corner of 37th Street and Gulf Drive because of a reported stolen money clip. The officer met with the victim, who said the he was on vacation and his money clip fell out of his pocket while at the beach. He said it contained about $390 and his driver’s license.
March 31, 3800 block of Gulf Drive, beverage law. An officer observed a man drinking while driving and pulled him over. The officer found that the man was 19 and confiscated four beers from the trunk. The man was issued a notice to appear in court on a charge of possession of alcohol while under age 21.
March 31, 300 block of 66th Street, theft. An officer responded to a call of a stolen trash can.
