Feb. 6, Tampa Bay at 100 S. Bay Drive, abandoned vessel/navigation hazard. Deputies responded to a beached boat near a channel. Marine authorities were notified.
Feb. 2, 7600 Palm Drive, traffic. Officers responded to a traffic crash between a bicyclist and vehicle. The bicyclist was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment; no charges were filed.
Feb. 2, 8300 block Marina Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took his cell phone from his vacation home. Whoever took the phone made charges of $1,400, he said, and he suspected that a construction worker at his house had taken the phone and made the charges. The investigation is ongoing.
Feb. 2, 220 block 84th Street, theft. The complainant said someone took his 8-hp boat motor.
Feb. 2, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, burglary. The complainants said that someone took their purses from their locked car while they were at the beach. Missing were credit cards
Feb. 3, 7900 Palm Drive, DUI. After an altercation with a boyfriend, Thida Sou, 37, of Anna Maria, was issued a trespass warning from her friend’s house. She was later observed driving and, after being stopped and upon attempting field sobriety tests, the woman fell against one officer, according to the report. She was arrested.
Feb. 5, 5400 Marina Drive, Auntie M’s Laundry, burglary. The complainant said that someone took about $500 from the change machine and caused $300 in damage.
Feb. 5, 500 block 70th Street, theft of vehicle. The complainant said his girlfriend took his vehicle. Investigation revealed that the woman did not have a valid driver’s license. The investigation is ongoing.
Feb. 6, 500 block Key Royale Drive, domestic. Officers responded to a domestic complaint without any evidence of violence. Domestic violence packets were handed out.
