Center's preseason basketball tournament crowns four team champs

The Anna Maria Island Community Center's preseason youth basketball tourney concluded Wednesday, Dec. 8, culminating a week's worth of basketball action at the Center.

The tournament, which started play on Saturday, Dec. 4, serves as a nice precursor to the regular season and provides coaches a chance to experiment with different lineups and schemes that best fit each team's personnel.

Congratulations to all of the teams that participated and to the four champions. Anna Maria Glass & Screen captured the Premier League title, while Air & Energy rallied to claim the Division I title. Division II tournament winner was Steve Titsworth General Contracting, while Bistros took home the first place trophy for Division III.
