Bradenton Beach
Oct. 27, 200 Bridge Street, Bridge Street Pier, warrant arrest. Officers were notified of a man passed out or sleeping in a vehicle. Upon further investigation, the man was found to be wanted on a Manatee County warrant for violation of probation.
Nov. 4, 111 Gulf Drive S., Sun House Restaurant, battery. A server alleged a manager pushed him up against a wall and choked him. According to the report, witnesses employed at the restaurant either declined to comment or were unable to verify who started the physical altercation.
Nov. 6, 300 block of Gulf Drive North, violation of probation. According to the report, a juvenile was arrested after officers saw him out past his court-ordered curfew.
Nov. 7, 501 Gulf Drive N., Bridgeport condominiums, criminal mischief. A man reported that the flower pot in front of his door had been thrown over a balcony.
Holmes Beach
Oct. 29, 500 block of 56th Street, multiple burglaries. Fifteen vehicles parked in their homeowner's driveways were reportedly broken into. According to the report, most vehicles were left unlocked and owners found the contents of their vehicles rummaged through and in some cases "ransacked." Items reported missing include a wallet, a compact disc case containing more than 150 music CDs, a purse, a cup full of change, eight credit cards, a pair of sunglasses, a set of house and car keys, a heart-shaped gold and ruby necklace, and 10 bottles of beer left in a cooler.
Oct. 29, 400 block of 63rd Street, information. A woman reported that while she was out of town her boyfriend wrote 13 checks on bank account totaling more than $29,000 without her authorization.
Oct. 29, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach City Hall, information. An officer was flagged down by a school bus driver who reported that one of the door windows from a school bus left parked at the city field was broken.
Oct. 30, 600 block of Manatee Avenue, traffic stop. An Arizona woman was cited for driving with a suspended license and no registration and given a warning for driving without insurance and attaching a tag registered to another vehicle.
Oct. 31, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach Police Department, burglary. A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle. She told police she parked her vehicle in the Island Fitness parking lot to attend the Anna Maria Elementary School Fall Festival parade and left the purse inside her unlocked vehicle.
Oct. 31, 300 block of 29th Street, information. A woman reported that a friend took her ring and pawned it. She also told police that this friend had been giving her drugs for several days and had not allowed her to sleep. According to the report, she claims she went on drug deliveries with the friend and was forced to provide some "escort" services. The woman reported she had more than 50 drug connections which she agreed to provide to officers and volunteered to be transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
Nov. 1, 3900 E. Bay Drive, Publix, theft. A store manager reported a woman he suspected of shoplifting and asked that she be ordered not to trespass at the store.
Nov. 1, 300 block of 20th Street North, burglary. A man reported damage to a window and frame at his home that appeared to be caused by someone attempting to pry it open.
Nov. 1, 2900 block of Gulf Drive, theft. A man reported three political signs stolen from his yard.
Nov. 2, 7200 block of Marina Drive, driver's license. A driver and his female passenger were both arrested for providing officers with a false identification during a routine traffic stop. The driver was charged with driving with a suspended license, obstruction without violence, and an outstanding probation warrant. The female passenger was charged with obstruction without violence, two outstanding Manatee County warrants and one outstanding Sarasota County warrant.
Nov. 2, 6800 block of Palm Drive, burglary. A man reported a wallet, prescription pills and a handgun stolen from his vehicle. According to the report, the man admitted that he leaves his vehicle unlocked with the key in the ignition.
Nov. 2, 500 block of 68th Street, theft. A woman reported more than $4,000 in jewelry stolen from her bedroom.
Nov. 2, 3200 E. Bay Drive, Walgreens, drug arrest. According to the report, an officer parked in front of the store observed Zachary Stockmaster, 19, of Bradenton, seated in a pickup truck, rolling a marijuana cigarette and preparing to smoke it. Stockmaster was arrested for possession of .087 grams of marijuana.
Nov. 3, 500 block of Key Royale Drive, burglary. A man reported that upon returning to his Island home for the winter he discovered several items valued at approximately $750 missing from his bedroom and bathroom, including more than 20 bath towels, six pillows, a watch, wine glasses, and clothing.
Nov. 3, 4000 block of Gulf Drive, burglary. A woman reported the window of her pickup truck broken and her purse missing. |
