Sept. 29, 100 Spring Ave., Sandbar restaurant, alarm. Deputies responded to the alarm and secured the property. According to the report, the alarm is in need of repair.
Sept. 29, 500 block of Kumquat, alarm. Deputies responded to a residential alarm and secured the property.
Bradenton Beach
Sept. 24, 2400 block of Avenue B, trespassing. Despite knowledge of a previous trespass warning and injunction against him, a man went to his ex-girlfriend's home and caused a disturbance in her front yard. Officers issued a capias request for violating the trespass warning and forwarded the charges to the district attorney's office.
Sept. 25, 2400 block of Avenue B, information. Neighbors helped a man found lying on the side of the road back to his residence. Emergency medical services was contacted to address the man's injuries. According to the report, the man's face was swollen and he had several lacerations. The man told police his face was swollen from an allergic reaction to seafood and the other wounds were a result of falling on his way home from drinking on Bridge Street.
Sept. 27, 1800 Gulf Drive S., Beach Cafe, vending machine. A patrol officer reported finding the bottled water vending machine partially open and some damage to the soft drink machine was evident. The vending money was reportedly missing from the water machine.
Sept. 27, 2000 Gulf Drive S., Coquina Beach, criminal mischief. A patrol officer reported finding gang-related graffiti painted on the walls of the south Gulfside bath house.
Holmes Beach
Sept. 27, 7300 block of Gulf Drive, forgery. A man reported that he gave his roommate a check for half of the rent due to be given to their landlord. According to the report, instead of forwarding the rent check to the landlord, the roommate allegedly forged the landlord's name and cashed the check.
Sept. 27, 7300 block of Gulf Drive, battery. A man was arrested after allegedly punching his roommate in the face.
Sept. 29, 5325 Marina Drive, Tidemark property, theft. The property owner reported that the checkbook for his business account was missing and several checks had been cashed.
Sept. 29, 3200 block of Sixth Avenue, drug arrest. Andrew Plante, 22, of Holmes Beach, was arrested for possession of marijuana after officers responded to his residence based on complaints that someone was breaking beer bottles in the road. Plante was reportedly hosting a party at his residence, where officers reported smelling burning marijuana upon their arrival. Plante was found with 8.3 grams of marijuana in his front pocket, and he told police it was a birthday present.
Sept. 30, 7700 block of Palm Drive, domestic disturbance. A man was arrested after reportedly provoking a fight with his brother. |
