Bradenton and Manatee County reached a tentative agreement late Monday on the county's lawsuit against the Arvida-Perico Island project approved by Bradenton that calls for 686 condominium units on Perico Island.

The environmental group ManaSota-88 has issued a call for the Sarasota and Manatee county commissions to enact a temporary building moratorium on all coastal high-hazard areas and flood-prone lands.
