A man was stopped for speeding over the humpback bridge and a background check showed an active Texas warrant for aggravated sexual assault on a child. The man was arrested and extradited to Texas. Oct. 12, 6200 block of Holmes Boulevard, theft. A woman reported two of her stained-glass stepping stones were stolen from her front yard. Oct. 13, 300 block of 55th Street, information. A juvenile reported she had been attacked by a cat during her walk to school. According to the report, the girl stopped to pet the cat and was scratched and bitten. Oct. 13, 5600 block of Marina Drive, information. A woman reported she was midway through a crosswalk when a van turned onto the road, cutting off her path and nearly hitting her.
