Charles 'Chuck' Frank Anderson Jr.
Charles "Chuck" Frank Anderson Jr., 47, of Bradenton, died Jan. 12.
Born in Springfield, Mo., Mr. Anderson moved to Manatee County 15 years ago from Kansas City, Kan. He was a patrol sergeant with the Holmes Beach Police Department and served there for five years until 1995. He was a graduate of Evangel College in Springfield. He worked in law enforcement with the Kansas City police and with the corrections department with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by brothers David and Paul, both of Springfield; and sister Sue Godfrey of Springfield.
Gladys Janette Martin
Gladys Janette Martin, of Anna Maria, died Jan. 18.
Mrs. Martin was a member of Roser Memorial Community Church. She is remembered by her friends for her love of gardening and love of her family home in Bainbridge, Ga.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the Roser Chapel, 512 Pine Ave., Anna Maria. Burial was Jan. 23 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Bainbridge.
She is survived by daughter Sharon Brown of Indiana; son Huey Thomas of Georgia; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Walter E. Test
Walter E. Test, 94, of Bradenton and formerly Holmes Beach, died Jan. 14.
Born in Superior, Mont., Mr. Test moved to Manatee County from Jeffersontown, Ky., in 1965. He was active at the founding of Key Royale and was past president of the golf club and homeowner's association. He was past president of the Jeffersontown Fair and charter member and past president of the Jeffersontown Optimist Club. He was a member and elder at Jeffersontown Presbyterian Church.
Private memorial services were Jan. 18. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by sons Walter R. of Bradenton, James T. of Solomons, Md., and John R. of Finchville, Ky.; sister Leah Sikes of Brooksville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Sandra Kaye VanMaaren
Sandra Kaye VanMaaren, 62, of Bradenton, died Jan. 5.
